The 12th annual Firecracker Fun Run was an Independence Day Tradition for the Santa Cruz area. Close to 1000 runners showed up for the morning event sponsored by the Sunrise Rotary of Santa Cruz. Approximately $30,000 was raised for local communities with a portion of the proceeds going to the Baker/Butler, Fallen Officers Foundation.
Santa Cruz Running Company customer Dolly Long ran the 5k race and earned a spot on the podium with a first place medal in the 65-69 age group, while her husband Danny ran the 10K and placed 2nd in the 70+division. Congratulations for all runners who ran with full on glory
